![]() ![]() Stasis is a feature of the game engine which 'freezes' game activity in any area of the map where there is not any Player presented. I would also like to point out that the overall re-spawn might have to do something with Stasis. I would like also to point out that on a different instance, on Ragnarok map (single player again) any mineral/tree re-spawn rate is tragic: actually only the small stone nodes (the semi-spherical ones) are re-spawning in a very slow rate.Īlso the 're-spawn distance from player/building' option if the value is 1.0, then the distance for preventing any re-spawn is equal to the length of 10-12 foundations (or 75meters according to other sources), so this option only matters if you have placed a building really close to resources. What I have noticed is that it took hundreds of in game days to re-spawn obsidian and crystal nodes: In about 400-500 in-game days obsidian/crystal nodes re-spawned just 1 or 2 times (stone re-spawn was OK, metal re-spawn was slow but acceptable). I have tried to play a Single Player game without using any commands and without changing any options on Scorched Earth map. I do not know if the resource re-spawn problem in single player mode is a bug or a dev negligence but I would like to note a couple of things. cheers! I was going to say i’d name the first giga in your honour for the info, but that’s some name! ![]() Is metal mountain in stasis because the area isn’t reloaded? So if I log out then stuff may disappear? I’ve taken an argie train over there a couple of times to hit it up and not run into any issues with despawns, so i’m not overly concerned. say I hit up metal mountain, then go back to base for a couple of hours. I do worry that over time things good get messed up, but i’ll probably do the admin spectator and have a quick fly around at the end of a play session to make sure. We’ll relocating to carno island next once my daughter learns the ropes a bit. Most of the metal is there, and just missing a few rocks. I think some of the resources must have been a little too far gone due to many log ins/out whilst messing with settings. Last night we closed the server down and performed the update as usual with no ill effects but no change to the problem either.Yes, it worked. The last off server backup we have is a month old (this will be being rectified - previous admin were inactive) ![]() I have searched the forum and found only one post- the OP reinstalled his server to fix it but with the amount of players we have a full wipe and reinstall is really really not the way we want to go. Some players were fine but have died since the rollback and have then encountered the respawn timer problem. However- Some players upon logging in found their character had died (not a surprise as they could have been anywhere on the map at restart) and not only were they dead but they were unable to respawn for varying lengths of time- some had to wait tens of minutes, some hours, some 23 hrs and one reported his timer saying he could not respawn for 68 hours. Obviously players were very upset at the rollback but these things happen sometimes. In the end we had to roll back 48 hours to find a save that would work and load up properly. Upon restart the server would not load the save game- The host saves backups each 4 hrs as well as the standard 15 minute autosaves so we rolled back to the previous save and still couldn't get the server going. Yesterday morning we shut down the server briefly (saved game via rcon before stopping the server in the hosts control panel) in order to add some admin steam id's to the allowed cheaters list. I am admining a very busy (70 slot often at max capacity) server which is provided by a big name uk Youtuber and we are having a strange issue with respawn timers. I have posted this as a bug but to be honest i'm not sure its a game bug? i'm hoping more people will see it in the main section and someone might be able to help! ![]()
